THE MAKER BLANCHERIE FRÈRES
from
"THE ZOOMAN" COLLECTION

Blancherie Frères
are the manufacturers of these wonderful hollow-cast lead French Zoo Animals.
I started collecting these only a couple of years ago and in my opinion
they produce some of the most realistic animals. They were made, so I understand
between the two World Wars. The similarity between some of them and those
of other manufacturers, especially Britains is obvious but they are never
exactly the same and in many cases the paint is of a higher standard. Early
examples are sprayed whereas the later versions were brush-painted.

These are the very rare Blancherie Frères Giraffes
They are extremely hard to find especially
in this condition. They are very similar to the
Britains Adult Giraffe but about three quarters
of the size
